Chapel: a space for personal recollection, meditation and liturgy. When the central lamp is dimmed, light enters the interior from behind the angled walls, suspended ceiling and window shading. The altar refracts the rays and spreads them along the room. Textile cushions suggest leaning against them. When sitting down the perspective and perceived scale of this relatively small space changes notably. One can set the eyes on the grainy walls, patterned woodworking of the floor or look up at the tabernacle displaying the monstrance. The figural work is made by contemporary artist Danylo Movchan.
